The year has got off to a fast and fiery start and its already the middle of January. As I’ve already mentioned, it is the year of the Fire Horse, and the Element of Fire is set to dominate our year ahead.
Fire brings both destruction and illumination, regeneration and awakening. It represents not just warmth or light, but also our own inner desire, willpower, creativity and spiritual growth.
2026 is said to be a year asking for Bold Action, and we have already seen some taking what would be described as Bold Action globally when we think that the USA under the leadership of Donald Trump has been antagonizing and attacking other nations. War is one of the more negative energetic themes linked to the Element of Fire, along with impulsive action and anger.
While these traits can sometimes benefit us, I mention them today as a reminder, much like the Yin and Yang symbol, that true balance is made up of both the good and the bad.
Balance is seen as the key to finding happiness! It’s at the heart of Buddhist teachings, encouraging us to walk the middle path. That’s why it’s important to stay mindful of how each element shows up in your life, especially fire throughout this year.
It’s important we choose to intentionally use the energy of Fire to our benefit in terms of transformation, be it moving more into our personal power, speaking our truth, pursue our passions and having the courage to step outside comfort zones and try something new.
So as we start the New Year what is your Intention?
I have a workshop coming up on the 7th of February in Grafton (it was postponed from this month due to family matters). Simply called INTENTION 2026, this session invites you to carve out some time for self-care. It’s a chance to connect with like-minded souls, meet new people, and take a moment to pause and reflect on your inner desires as we explore the energy of the year and set aligned intentions—calling in everything you wish to create in your life. Once we’ve identified our intentions, we’ll wrap up the workshop by learning how to create a Witches’ Wish Ball.
By sparking your creativity with this project, we will also be tapping into tradition, wisdom, nature, and ritual, all of which deepen our connection to our sacred heart and soul’s purpose. Placing them in your home serves as a reminder of your intentions, inviting blessings and protection for you in 2026.
The cost of this workshop $55. It covers all handouts, creative supplies for our activity, a small gift and light refreshment.
